H 10:30 / The Casalone is a lovely agriturismo immersed in the forests and meadows of the Appennine Mountains, this is where we will meet with the owner Augusto, a famous professor, agronomist and knowledgeable truffle hunter; he will take us in a truffle hunt talking about the secrets of this precious and mysterious mother nature’s gift
H 11:30 / After the walk, we will go to the kitchens of the Casalone and start a truffle, herbs from Augusto’s garden and forrest berries based hands on cooking class and lunch.
H 14:00 / In the afternoon, we will descend down to the Tiber Valley and visit the town of Sansepolcro. The town boasts a museum with “The Resurrection” by Piero della francesca and Aboca Museum, hosting a very interesting collection of old books, canvas and ceramics about herbs and pharmacy
In the hot summer days, it is possible to move the activity to the afternoon, ending with supper.
What to bring and how to dress:
Confortable shoes for hiking, long trousers for the truffle hunt. The Casalone is located in the mountains, so is usually a couple of degrees cooler than in the Valley.
